Niner is a 4-year-old German shepherd mix who was born Sept. 9, 2009. He is a very special dog to me. Niner is my best friend and a great companion. He is very friendly and loves other dogs and people. He is great with children and also a good watch dog. He goes almost everywhere with me and loves to ride in cars, boats, trains, planes and – most of all – his sidecar. He also loves the water and swimming.
I bought a Ural motorcycle and sidecar as a retirement gift for myself last November, but with Niner in mind. On Sept. 17, we rode our first PGR mission to welcome home a soldier. I hope to get him certified as a therapy dog so we can visit vets at the VA Hospital. He attends EAA meetings with me and also helps escort kids to and from aircraft during our Chapters Young eagle events. He is also a member of the Bay Area German Shepherds Meetup group. I couldn’t ask for a more loyal companion.
