How dare Mr.Kaeini turn a opinion piece on a proposed bill into a character assassination of a man who never sought the glare of national attention. Or need I remind everyone that it was the parents of Terry Schaivo that sought as many high profile people (including the President and his brother) to their cause. His comments are rude, thoughtless, and I am quite sure, not based on any conversation that he conducted with Mr Schaivo himself.
If Mr. Kaeini is against the Death with Dignity bill, that is fine. He can call whatever legislators he sees fit to make sure that his voice is heard. But let’s not degrade ourselves to slander and libel people we only know through media coverage. Lest we become a little more like Tom Delay.
