Why are the teachers of the Hollister School District (HSD) demanding the board approve raises when their earnings and pay schedules show that they are very well paid compared to local workers, families, or even the teachers at the much wealthier Gilroy Unified School District (GUSD) and others? The election of officers for the San Benito County CattleWomen took place in December 2014. Those elected for the 2015-16 year were: Jae Eade, president; Heather Callens, vice president; Charlotte Cabral, secretary; and Marie Pera, treasurer. The directors elected were Sherry Holiday, Dianne Rodrigues and Sandy Williams. Helen Mautlich is state delegate. Jamii Pura was elected beef promotion chairman and Martha Tobias, parliamentarian.
