Parents should expect all schools and learners to be successful, with meaningful standards, curriculum and assessments, but also demand increased funding for schools. The November elections will give parents an opportunity to preserve some of the funding for public education with Propositions 30 and 39. If we want to give all students a chance to succeed, then we must equitably and fully fund all schools.
