Guest View: October Olive Fest is a team effort
Having grown up with a food-loving family or “foodie” family, trust me when I say I have learned to appreciate food. Whenever my family gets together in the kitchen, there is never a dull moment with conversations over pots and pans. Sharing delicious and authentic food with loved ones is a feeling unlike any other and this is pretty much why I have a deep love for fresh and yummy food.
Guest View: Cattlewomen elect officers
The election of officers for the San Benito County CattleWomen took place in December 2014. Those elected for the 2015-16 year were: Jae Eade, president; Heather Callens, vice president; Charlotte Cabral, secretary; and Marie Pera, treasurer. The directors elected were Sherry Holiday, Dianne Rodrigues and Sandy Williams. Helen Mautlich is state delegate. Jamii Pura was elected beef promotion chairman and Martha Tobias, parliamentarian.
