Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage raised approximately $11,500 for Habitat for Humanity at its ninth annual Party in the Vineyard.
The event, which was held at Fortino Winery in Gilroy, included lunch, Fortino’s wines, lots of live music, a raffle and a silent auction. Most importantly, proceeds from ticket sales will help families in need through Habitat For Humanity.
“We’re thrilled about how this event turned out and the money raised once again this year,” said John Agresta, manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Gilroy office. “We’d like to thank everyone who came out to support Habitat For Humanity, as well as all of the folks who worked to make this event possible.”
Diane Baty, who chairs the Party in the Vineyard for the Gilroy office, said everyone who worked on the event was excited to help such a worthwhile cause.
“We’re so proud to support Habitat For Humanity,” she said. “It feels great knowing we’re playing a role in helping low-income working families not only build their own home, but a better life for their children.”
Toni Morris, who was in charge of lining up the raffle and silent auction prizes, said the successful event wouldn’t be possible without the help of the local community.
“People in our community really stepped up with their donations, and we want to express our sincere appreciation for their generous support,” she said.
Over the past 15 years, the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation has raised more than $2.45 million for Habitat for Humanity chapters in Northern California. The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage team has also volunteered more 50,000 hours and participated in the construction of 190 Habitat for Humanity homes.
