Painter graduates from basic
Justin A. Painter graduated from basic military training at
Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He completed an
eight-week program that included training in military discipline
and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic
warfare principles and skills.
He is the son of Colleen Lapari of Seventh Street, in Hollister,
and Mark Painter of Spring, Texas. He graduated in 2008 from Klein
Oak High School in Texas.

Vasquez returns from Afghanistan

Cpl. Nathan Andrew Vasquez returned from serving in Afghanistan for six months. He served with the 1st Battalion 4th Marines, weapons company from Camp Pendleton, where he is stationed.

He is the son of Juan and Linda Vasquez, of Hollister, and the brother of Elyssa Vasquez, of Hollister, and Anthony Vasquez, of Thousand Oaks. He is a 2002 graduate of San Benito High School.

Hollister artist part of three shows

Carole Belliveau, of Hollister, will be showing her work at three upcoming events. Belliveau has earned a bachelor of fine arts in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has also been granted signature status in the Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association. She is known for colorful pastels and oil paintings of landscapes from Hollister to Big Sur. Her work can be viewed as follows:
