Local government and business leaders join together for the ribbon cutting to commemorate the new bus shelter.

The San Benito County Local Transportation Authority and local officials recently celebrated the installation of two new bus shelters on Hollister’s west side with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
One of those shelters is near the San Benito Health Foundation on Felice Drive, and the other is at Central Avenue and Graf Road.
Local Transportation Authority Board Vice Chair Jaime De La Cruz was joined at the shelter that serves the San Benito Health Foundation by Director Robert Scattini. Other notables included City of Hollister Mayor Ignacio Velazquez, San Benito Health Foundation Director Victoria Montoya, Local Transportation Authority Executive Director Lisa Rheinheimer and other residents.
Funding for the two bus shelters came from the Council of Governments Regional Surface Transportation Program and a partnership with the health foundation.
