Vehicle Theft
A GMC Yukon was stolen from in front of a residence between 7pm Sunday and 8am Monday in the 600 block of Powell Street in Hollister, the Hollister Police Department said. The California Highway Patrol recovered the vehicle stripped of its parts in Los Banos, police said. There are no suspects.
Vandalism
A vehicle was reported to have been dented and scratched at 10am Tuesday in the 1100 block of Central Avenue in Hollister, police said. There are no suspects.
Arrests
Robbery
A 45-year-old Hollister man was arrested by Hollister police on suspicion of robbery, a felony, after responding to a disturbance call at 10:42pm Tuesday in the 1000 Caputo Court in Hollister, police said. The man used force to take a bottle of Snapple from a woman, police said.
Public Intoxication
A 24-year-old Hollister man was arrested by San Benito County sheriff’s deputies on suspicion of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, after he was found staggering at 11:03pm Monday in the 1000 block of Santa Ana Road in Hollister, deputies said. The man could not remember where he lived or his telephone number, deputies said.
A 42-year-old Hollister man was arrested by police on suspicion of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, after officers found him unable to care for himself at 12:01am Monday in the 1100 block of Chestnut Lane in Hollister, police said.
A 45-year-old San Juan Bautista man was arrested by police on suspicion of drug possession, a felony, and drug paraphernalia possession, a misdemeanor, after officers pulled him over at 2:02am Monday at the intersection of Smith Alley and Park Street in Hollister, police said.
