Attempting to Pass Fictitious Checks, DRUG POSSESSION:

n Jason Allen Martin Carter, 27, of Hollister and Evette Flores, 32, of Hollister, were arrested by Hollister police for a felony attempting to pass fictitious Washington Mutual checks at Nob Hill in Hollister at 1:58pm Wednesday, police said. Robin Lynette Jackson, 41, of Hollister was also arrested with the two on possession of amphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, police said.

n Zinnia Ortega, 18, of Hollister and George Robert Mendoza, 33, of Tres Pinos, were arrested By Hollister police for felony attempting to pass a fictitious check at American’s Cash Express in Hollister on Wednesday. Ortega was also charged for possession of methamphetamine, police said.

Driving Under

the Influence:

n John Rudy Vargas, 50, of Colinga, Calif., was arrested by Hollister police at 2:23pm on Wednesday. An officer observed Vargas’ driving in the 1200 block of San Juan Road and pulled him over and arrested him at Chestnut Lane and Live Oak Drive. Officials are awaiting blood test results, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
