Battery, Fifth Street

At 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, a verbal argument broke out between two parties on the balcony at the county courthouse. Both the victim and the male suspect were in civil court, and after leaving, the argument broke out with the suspect yelling at the victim, resulting in the victim getting poked in the nose with a finger. Police said the victim’s nose is fine. The suspect, a 55-year-old county resident, was cited by police and released.

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Chestnut Lane

Police received a report at Noon on Sunday of a suspect providing cocaine to a juvenile on the 100 block of Chestnut Lane. Police said the case is still pending and no arrests have been made. The suspect has yet to be contacted.

Identity theft, Morningside Court

At 2:18 p.m. on Monday, police received a report from a victim regarding a stolen credit card. Police said the theft occurred sometime between the dates of Nov. 1, 2007, and Nov. 5, 2007, on the 1200 block of Morningside Court. The victim reported that someone is using a credit card and has made several purchases with it. No suspect information was available.

Shoplifting, Tres Pinos Road

At 4:01 p.m. on Tuesday, a male juvenile was reported stealing toy skateboards from Kmart on the 400 block of Tres Pinos Road. The juvenile was cited and released.

Offensive words, Irma Drive

At 7:47 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a complaint from a victim who said they were verbally accosted by a suspect on the 300 block of Irma Drive. Police said that the suspect was yelling provoking words at the victim to illicit violence. The suspect is a 33-year-old Hollister resident but was not arrested for the altercation. A report was taken at the scene and was forwarded to the district attorney for review.

Burglary, Henry Street

At some point between 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 25, a credit card was taken from a vehicle on the 100 block of Henry Street. Police received the report around 8 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle was unlocked but in the garage, which makes the incident burglary. No suspect information was available.
