One month after Hollister Police found 39-year-old Mark Arballo beaten atop Park Hill, police continue searching for the seven suspects.

Arballo was taken to a Bay Area hospital, where he had been listed in critical condition with major trauma to his face and head. The Hollister resident succumbed to his injuries Sunday morning.

The incident sparked an intensive search by police for the suspects, Capt. David Westrick said. Police took information they gathered from a two-day search on Park Hill immediately after it occurred, and obtained search warrants for more information and evidence.

Witnesses described seven Hispanic suspects wearing dark or red clothing beating Arballo. The suspects, ages 18 to 24, were last seen running north from the area.

Police have continued to receive reliable leads and are in the process of looking into them, Westrick said.

“There have been many sleepless nights,” he said. “We’ve been working on this nonstop since that night.”

The police department has partnered up with WeTIP to offer up to $1,000 for a tip that leads to a conviction.

Those with more information are urged to call Detective Theresa Aguilera at 636-4330 or to remain anonymous call WeTIP at (800) 78 CRIME.
