Police are looking for a vehicle burglary suspect who was caught on camera using credit cards from a stolen purse, according to a statement.

On Tuesday, Hollister police officers responded to the 1600 block of Citation Drive in Hollister regarding the report of a vehicle burglary. The passenger window on the victim vehicle was smashed, and the victim’s purse was stolen. Included in the missing items were personal identification cards and bank cards.

During subsequent investigation, officers learned that the victim’s credit cards had been used several times throughout the day at locations throughout Hollister. Officers located surveillance footage from one of those transactions at the 560 Tres Pinos Road, the Dollar Tree store, and have obtained a picture of the suspect. The suspect is described as a white female; about 25 to 35 years old; heavy set; and with dark, curly hair.

As of yet, officers have been unable to identify the suspect in these fraud cases, and are asking for the public’s help. Although the picture quality is not very good, someone that knows this person might be able to identify her. Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to call Officer Bo Leland at 636-4330, extension 151.

Anyone with information about the case could call the National WeTip Anonymous Hotline at 1-(800) 78-CRIME. Informants to the National WeTip Anonymous Hotline may be eligible for a reward.
