The Hollister City Council is set to meet Monday and consider hiring an outside labor negotiator, along with the future direction for the city manager and city attorney roles.
Council members are set to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.
On the consent agenda, council members are set to weigh whether to hire Linzie Daniel of JoDan & Associates to engage in labor negotiations. Council members would agree to pay up to $10,000 for up to 180 days in the term, according to the council agenda.
In the recent past, City Manager Clint Quilter has primarily overseen Hollister’s labor negotiations. Under the agreement, Daniel would act as the city’s negotiator in talks with the general unit of the Service Employees International Union and mid-management.
Council members Monday also are set to discuss the possible hiring of an interim city manager and permanent city manager, and the direction for the city attorney role.
Quilter and City Attorney Stephanie Atigh have resigned. This is Atigh’s last week on the job, while Quilter will be with the city for about a month.
