times immensely last weekend at the Cabrillo Threshers Swim Meet at
Cabrillo College in Aptos.
Members of the San Benito Aquatics Swim Club improved their times immensely last weekend at the Cabrillo Threshers Swim Meet at Cabrillo College in Aptos.
Brandon Drogemuller, 11, swam in an ironman-like 12 events. He placed second in the 200 IM at 2:44.34, an improvement of :04.58. He was second in the 50-breaststroke at 43.31, an improvement of .40.
Blane Curtice, 13, was first in the 100-fly at 1:04.96, second in the 100-free at 57.90 and the 400 IM at 5:08.57.
Other first-place finishers included Brenna Zazueta, 13, who clocked 1:18.39 in the 100-backstroke; Demi Gatrell in the 100-backstroke with a 1:27.26, a whopping 14.80-second improvement; Mitch Molchan, 12, in the 500-free at 6:20.65, an improvement of nearly 37 seconds, and in the 200 IM with a 2:48.91; Shelli Reed with a 29.79 in the 50-fly, a big improvement; and Nathan Thomas, 8, who timed 25.13 in the 25-breast, an improvement of :01.36.
