SBA sent 24 swimmers to the meet under the guise of interim head coach Cathy Larson. David Steele, who was hired not long ago, was relieved of his duties a month ago due to lack of renewing his coaching certification. The search is on once more for a permanent coach, according to SBA Board Member Bob Curtice.

Troy Donovan, age seven, placed first in the C Division in the 200-free (3:53.90), third in the C Division in the 50-back (55.44) and second in the C Division In the 50-free (43.63). Haley Larson, age six, placed first in the C Division in the 50-free (43.42) and second in the C Division in the 50-back (1:15.40).

Mackenzie Donovan, age 10, placed first in the C Division in the 50-free (40.68), first in the B Divisioni in the 50-back (46.61) and first in the C Division in the 200-free (3:22.79). Stephanie Ego placed first in the C Division in the 50-free (45.08) and third in the B Division in the 50-back (52.03).

Lacey Larson, age 12, placed first in the B Division in the 50-free (36.78) and second in the C Division in the 50-back (44.91).

Lauren Martin, age 14, placed second in the B Division in the 200IM and second in the B Division in the 400-free (5:52.93). Mitch Molchan finished second in the A Division in the 50-back (39.52).

Sarah Rianda was third in the D Division in the 50-fly (1:02.38). David Smith, age 15, placed third in the A Division in the 100-free (1:07.82) and third in the 50-free (30.72). Smith was first in the B Division in the 200-free (2:33.94), first in the 100-back (1:19.72) and first in the 200IM (2:53.59).

Ronnie Stern, age 12, was third in the 50-back (48.66) and third in the 200-free (3:16.45). Nathan Thomas was first in the 50-breast (58.12) and third in the 100-free (1:41.82).

During Memorial Day weekend, Blane Curtice and Shelli Reed represented SBA at the Long Course Meet at the University of Pacific in Stockton. Both swimmers achieved personal best times in all events, placing in the top eight in each event.

Reed was third in the 100-back at 1:15.36. Curtice was third in the 200-breast at 2:53.37.
