Recently, with the new addition of the Citizens Voice section of
the Free Lance, there have been increasingly destructive comments
made about some of our local elected officials. One of the latest
targets has been our San Benito County Marshal and City of
Hollister District 2 Council Member Robbie Scattini.

While some self-serving individuals are using the Citizens Voice forum to criticize our local elected officials without having the courage to sign their names to these letters, I am happy to offer my opinion regarding Robbie Scattini. As a former City of Hollister Council member, I feel that I am qualified to express endorsement for his leadership abilities in both his job as Marshal and as an elected Council member.
Mr. Scattini is one of the most responsible and truthful people I have ever dealt with. When he has difficult decisions to make regarding City issues, he makes his decisions based on what would benefit the community as a whole. He took on the position of Council member for the people of Hollister, to improve the quality of life in this city and is not afraid to cast a single dissenting vote if he feels the consequences will not be in the best interest of his constituents.
Regarding his job as Marshal, he has the respect of law enforcement officers and officials, and spends long hours at work helping others. He is never too busy to offer a helping hand to someone in need. He has the integrity to admit when a mistake has been made and errors are dealt with in a truthful manner.
Robbie Scattini has been an asset to both the City of Hollister and San Benito County and provides the leadership qualities that the citizens of this county expect and deserve.
