Jessica Nusbaum and Christopher Jannusch were married Jan. 20, 2013.

WEDDING: Nusbaum/Jannusch: Jessica Nusbaum and Christopher Jannusch were married Jan. 20, 2013, on the beach at Pawai Bay in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Jessica is the daughter of Marlene Nusbaum and Neville Frankel of Newton, Mass., and Robert Nusbaum, Jr. and Suzanne Nusbaum of Los Gatos. She is Group Account Director, Social Impact at Allison+Partners, San Francisco. She graduated from Newton North High School in Newton, Mass. and received a bachelor’s degree in science, technology and society from Stanford University in Palo Alto.  

Christopher is the son of Janel and Craig Jannusch of Morgan Hill. He is a biologist for the California Department of Transportation in Oakland. He graduated from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill in 1995 and received a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of California, Davis and is a candidate for a master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Nevada, Reno.  

The couple were married on the sixth anniversary of the day they met in Lake Tahoe. They reside in Berkeley.

HONORS

Victoria Giacomazzi

Victoria Giacomazzi, of Gilroy, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester at Loyola Marymount University. Students named to the Dean’s List have  earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Located between the Pacific Ocean and downtown Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University is a comprehensive university offering 60 major programs, 36 master’s degrees and a doctoral degree in education from four colleges, two schools and Loyola Law School.

Mary Thatcher

Mary Thatcher, a junior studying secondary education from Morgan Hill, was named to the 2012 fall semester Dean’s List at the University of Portland. Students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for the Dean’s List.

The University of Portland is Oregon’s Catholic university and has been closely affiliated for nearly a century with the Congregation of Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Ind.
