Mai Do and Joseph Talamo are engaged to be married.

ENGAGEMENT: Do/Talamo: Mai Do and Joseph Talamo are engaged to be married.

Mai, daughter of Son Do and Nam Bui, works in criminal justice.

Joseph, son of Josephine Talamo and Salvator Talamo, is a graduate of San Jose State University. He works at Talamo Foods.

The couple reside in Morgan Hill and plan a Sept. 29, 2012 at RIU Palace in Mexico.

Rachel Nin

Rachel Nin, of Morgan Hill, was one of 358 undergraduates named to Denison University’s 2011 fall semester Dean’s List by Provost Bradley Bateman. Students who achieve Dean’s List status have maintained a grade point average of 3.7 or better (out of 4.0) for the semester. Nin is a member of the Denison class of 2012.

Denison University, founded in 1831, is an independent, residential liberal arts institution located in Granville, Ohio.

Morgan Celaya

Morgan Celaya, of Morgan Hill, made the Dean’s List at DePaul University for the fall quarter of 2011. In order to qualify for the Dean’s List at DePaul, students must earn above a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

With more than 25,000 students, DePaul University is the largest Catholic university in the United States and the largest private, nonprofit university in the Midwest. The university offers 275 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in ten colleges and schools on three Chicago campuses and three suburban campuses.

Tanner Guerra

Air Force Airman 1st Class Tanner M. Guerra graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Guerra earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Joyce and Frank Guerra of Hollister and a 2006 graduate of San Benito High School. He earned an associate degree in 2010 from American River College, Sacramento.
