HONORS: Students complete senior project, TheraPE: Santa Clara University graduating bioengineering seniors Sarah van Keulen (St. Catherine/Presentation), Sofia Pour and Kristi Hockenson spent a year on their senior engineering project, TheraPE, a new type of pulmonary embolectomy device. TheraPE was designed and developed by the seniors to better remove blood clots from the heart, is patent pending and won first place at SCU’s annual senior engineering competition.

Ravil Atlas II

Ravil Atlas II, of Morgan Hill, has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in tuba from the University of Kansas. The class of 2012 included more than 1,600 students who completed degree work in summer and fall 2011.

Michaela Pereira

Morgan Hill resident Michaela Pereira graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. Michaela joined nearly 1,400 graduates at the spring commencement ceremonies.
