Girls water polo team earns No. 5 seed, boys team off until
Friday with No. 2 seed

The San Benito girls water polo team earned the No. 5 seed at this week’s Tri-County Athletic League Tournament after compiling a 5-3 record in league.

The Lady ‘Balers will open the TCAL Tournament today, Tuesday, at No. 7 Santa Catalina at 4:15 p.m. With a win, San Benito would then play the winner between No. 4 Carmel and No. 6 Notre Dame.

The championship is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, at Watsonville High School.

The San Benito boys water polo team, which compiled a 6-1 record and earned the No. 2 seed in the TCAL Tournament, will play Friday at Carmel at 6 p.m.

Although their opponent has not yet been decided, Stevenson is the likely contender to advance to Friday’s matchup against San Benito.

With a win, the ‘Balers would advance to Saturday’s championship at 12:45 p.m., at Watsonville High. A loss would send San Benito to the consolation round at 10:15 a.m.
