The same URL you use to get your daily Hollister news is packing an entirely new kind of punch, and we hope you have checked it out since our new website launch Dec. 14. With equal ingredients of ease, convenience and style – the new online platform is designed for reader interaction via calendars, photo galleries and announcements.
The staff welcomes you to give “submission forms” a try. Just go under Home at www.sanbenitocountytoday.com and click on Submission Forms for a list of how you can interact with your hometown online newspaper.

PLETHORA OF POSSIBILITIES
The Submission Forms is the community’s one-stop shop for all things readers believe their neighbors need to know about what’s happening in San Benito County. Here is what you can submit – free of charge:
• Calendar items (Provide all the details and even a photo for our homepage calendar list)
• Scrapbook items as seen in our Friday Lifestyles section (includes anniversaries, births, engagements, weddings)
• News tips
• Photos for reader submitted galleries (Check under the Multimedia tab for galleries)
• Sports game reports (Sends scores directly to our sports desk)
• Letters to the editor
We also offer a gateway to submitting forms for items we do charge fees for which are also accepted in our office at 6400 Monterey St. if you prefer or over the phone 408-842-6400.
• Obituaries (Upload a photo via your local news website and enter the information directly through our forms)
• Classified advertisements (Input information for a yard sale, job, rentals and so forth)
• Subscriber services (Start home delivery of the Free Lance/Pinnacle, pay your bill, change your address and put a vacation hold – all online now)
HOW SIMPLE IT IS
To submit through SanBenitoCountyToday.com,  just look under the Home tab, then click on Submission Forms. Simply click on the announcement you’d like to see online and in the newspaper, and follow the directions.
With our new reader photo galleries you can submit local photos, which we will feature in our Photo Gallery under Multimedia. It’s a great way to show off your photography chops.
Calendar items will show up on the homepage and on its own page under Home. You can submit items far in advance and input when the event ends too, so it will appear only for the allotted time.
For Scrapbook items – weddings, births, anniversaries and engagements – what is submitted online will also be featured in our Lifestyles section of the print edition, which is on newsstands every Friday.
While you’re on the site, sign up for our e-newsletter delivered to your email inbox every day. Also, check out the e-edition. It’s a great way to view the newspaper as it appears on newsstands and it’s only free for a limited time.
