At 11 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a report of assault
with a deadly weapon at Cienega Road and Ashford Circle. A
25-year-old told authorities he had recently returned to Hollister
and had attended a party that night. When walking home, a truck
approached behind him and he was struck with something, causing him
to hit the ground, according to the sheriff’s office. The subject
could not provide much more information, but did say three or four
people were involved in the attack and he did not know their
identities.

Assault causing great harm, Cienega Road

At 11 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a report of assault with a deadly weapon at Cienega Road and Ashford Circle. A 25-year-old told authorities he had recently returned to Hollister and had attended a party that night. Theft, Bonnie View Road

A woman from the 1200 block of Bonnie View Road this week reported to authorities that after reading a recent bank statement, she realized there were several checks cashed amounting to $822. She believes the checks were taken from a cabinet in her home.

Vehicle recovered, Searle Road

Authorities recovered an abandoned vehicle at Highway 156 and Searle Road after a deputy had noticed the white Dodge utility truck parked in a lot and believed it matched the description of a wanted vehicle involved in recent burglaries. Authorities had the vehicle towed, and a Carmel police detective is looking into the truck’s ownership.

ARRESTS

Parole violation, San Felipe Road

At 9:48 a.m. Saturday in the first block of San Felipe Road, deputies arrested a 42-year-old Hollister man after responding to a report of a subject without a shirt holding a stick. Authorities arrested the man, who had been wanted on by parole officers.
