A small airplane landed on U.S. 101 on Saturday night, according to authorities.
The Cessna airplane with four occupants was forced to land on U.S. 101 near Coyote Creek Golf Course shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 20-year-old male pilot from Madera told the CHP the plane experienced engine trouble and was forced to land. The plane was going from the Harris Ranch Airport to the Reid-Hillview Airport when it experienced engine trouble.
The plane landed and veered over to the shoulder. Two lanes of traffic were closed in the immediate aftermath, according to the CHP.
