The Gavilan College men’s soccer team played well in the second half against visiting Ohlone College Tuesday in Gilroy, but couldn’t make up the three-goal halftime deficit and lost 3-1.

Victor Iracheta scored the lone goal for the Rams, which fall to 0-2 in the Coast Conference, 1-6-1 overall.

“The first half, we made some mistakes,” Gavilan head coach Albert Marques said. “They scored two quick goals on set pieces – corners.

“In the second half we made some adjustments and played really well, but just couldn’t comeback.”

The Rams will look to rebound Friday when they visit Skyline College. Kick-off is 4 p.m.
