Osuna’s walk-off hit to left-center field not only provided the win, but also, combined with a Hartnell loss Tuesday, moved the Rams into a tie for third place in the Coast Conference South.

Leading 2-1 entering the seventh, the Rams surrendered a pair of runs to fall behind 3-2. But an Aubrey Ayala leadoff walk followed by a Hailey Nelson sacrifice bunt and a steal of third by pinch runner Jen Huebner, the Rams were in business with Osuna at the dish, who completed the comeback with one swing of the bat.

MPC capitalized on an error to take a 1-0 advantage after the first inning. Gavilan posted its two runs in the third on a Nicole Lobato RBI single to bring home Alex Ferrel, who began the inning with a double. Osuna also scored in the inning for the 2-1 lead.

Lobato struck out 10 to notch the victory in the circle.

The Rams host Hartnell in a crucial conference matchup Thursday. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
