The No. 1 San Benito softball team will square off against No. 2 Fremont in the Central Coast Section Division I championship Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. at PAL Stadium in San Jose.

The title match between the two top-seeded teams will feature a Firebirds squad that has won three in a row and four of its last five, and a Haybalers team that is vying for its fifth straight Division I championship.

Fremont (20-4), located in Sunnyvale, is coming off a 2-1 victory over Gilroy in the semifinal round, as well as a 7-2 win against Santa Clara in the quarterfinals, and will be looking to win its first CCS softball title in school history on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Balers (24-4) defeated Wilcox 3-1 in the semifinals and Salinas 4-1 in the quarterfinals, and have now won four straight contests.

The Division I championship will be the first CCS title game on Saturday at PAL Stadium.

The Division III championship between No. 3 Valley Christian (24-5) and No. 5 Capuchino (25-5) will take place at 2 p.m., while the Division II championship between No. 7 Pioneer (21-9) and No. 9 Presentation (17-10-1) is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
