The weather gets crazy in South County
We sure have been having some crazy weather these days, we sure
weren’t expecting that little bit of rain that passed through our
area last Saturday morning. I don’t think Mother Nature has decided
yet if she still wants some summer weather or to move right into
the wet stuff! At least it settled the dust again for a few
hours.

We sure have been having some crazy weather these days, we sure weren’t expecting that little bit of rain that passed through our area last Saturday morning. I don’t think Mother Nature has decided yet if she still wants some summer weather or to move right into the wet stuff! At least it settled the dust again for a few hours.

The students of Bitterwater Tully School spent last Thursday at the Casa de Frusta Pumpkin Junction. That was a fun little field trip. I’ve always heard about it but had never been there. It is definitely worth checking out, especially if you have some little ones. The bigger kids enjoyed it as well as there were lots of fun things to do.

Here’s some sad news to report on, the King City Riding Club had to cancel the annual Grady Loafer Junior Rodeo that was scheduled for last weekend due to lack of entries. As far as anyone can remember, that is the first time in the history of the club that has ever happened. Maybe the economy is hitting everyone hard these days. Hopefully they will be able to get the rodeo back on track again next year.

The Bitterwater Lady Badgers end their volleyball season this week with a full schedule. They play four days this week and end the season on Saturday at a tournament in Soledad. Thursday afternoon the girls will play Chalone Peaks at the Expo building in King City at 4 p.m. That should be a good game. If you haven’t made a game yet, try to stop by and cheer on our Badgers at their final home game on Thursday. They appreciate your support. The girls are still undefeated so far, way to go Badgers!

Kasey Hurley will be hosting the Bitterwater School Halloween Party on Friday the 31st at Tully Hall. The evening will begin at 6:30 and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Have a great week and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at [email protected] with any news you’d like to share.
