Hollister’s Dunne Park will soon be the site of more than 30 interactive stations to help children learn about a healthy and safe lifestyle.
More than 1,200 people are expected at the 2014 Kids at the Park family event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 13 at the park at West and Seventh streets. Children of all ages are welcome to attend along with a guardian, and event organizers encourage attendees to walk or ride bikes as a healthy mode of transportation.
Kids at the Park will feature numerous interactive learning stations with topics including:
• Interactive games
• Healthy snacks
• Physical activities
• Raffle prizes (i.e. bicycles, etc.)
• Music and entertainment
• Bicycle safety courses, bike licenses, helmet fittings and valet bicycle parking.
The event is sponsored by the Safe Kids California San Benito Partners and is made possible with support and donations of various community organizations and businesses.
