Coaches, evaluators needed for Olympic Development Program

The California Youth Soccer Association District II is now accepting applications for U13-U16 boys’ and girls’ coaches for the Olympic Development Program. These are voluntary positions. Interested coaches should send their resumes to Jack Salvemini, District II ODP Coordinator, at 3635 Jackson Oaks Court, Morgan Hill, 95037 on or before April 1. Applicants should hold a National D license or equivalent and will not be able to coach the same age group or gender they currently coach in league or club. Sign-ups under way at YMCA

The YMCA of San Benito County is now having sign-ups for kickball (program runs on Saturdays for the month of March only) and T-ball (program runs on Saturdays for the months of April and May) for those interested, ages 2 ½ to 5 years old. The YMCA is also having sign-ups for a youth basketball program, which will start Saturday, April 4, and run until the end of May; that program is for ages first through fifth grade. Alex Sutton’s All-Stars of America slated

Alex Sutton’s All-Stars of America girls’ softball clinic is scheduled for Feb. 22 at Christmas Hill Ranch Field in Gilroy. The clinic includes warm-up, base running, throwing and catching, fielding, pitching, catching, hitting and a questions and answers session. The clinic is for girls ages 7 to 14, with two sessions offered dependent on age. The cost is $25 (lunch provided) and proceeds go to benefit Gilroy Little League.
