Trailing by three points with less than 10 second left in regulation San Benito High’s Hyram Miskin had control of the ball. Playing for the Seaside’s Finest under-16 Amateur Athletic Union basketball team in the AAU West Coast National Championship game Sunday in Las Vegas, the game fell on Miskin’s shoulders.

Baseball: Babe Ruth 14s take home District 1 title
The San Benito Babe Ruth 14-year-old All-Star team won the District 1 tournament in Lodi on Tuesday, winning three games by a combined score of 27-4. With the tournament victory, San Benito advanced to the Central California State Championship, held from July 13 to July 17 in Arroyo Grande.
