It all came down to the final match between the well-matched San Benito and Live Oak boys tennis teams in Morgan Hill yesterday. The Haybalers edged out the Acorns, 4-3, to push their Tri-County Athletic League record above .500 at 3-2.

Two days after managing just one hit in losing to Gilroy, the San Benito softball team registered only three hits against North Salinas yesterday. But the difference was that the 'Balers parlayed those hits into a 2-1 victory, their first of the Tri-County Athletic League season.
