Steven Smith Germond III, lovingly known to many as “Big Steve”, passed away on 10/30 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with cancer. Steve is survived by his wife and best friend Gina, his step-sons Michael and Steven and his son Jason.

Steve was born in Lakewood, NJ, lived in New Jersey and Florida before settling in Hollister, CA.

Steve was an accomplished carpenter, always eager to lend a hand to friends in need. Steve was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to his beloved NY Yankees and Miami Dolphins. He was also a passionate baseball coach for his son’s little league teams.

He will be remembered as an adoring husband, loving father and caring friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a charity Steve was proud to support, would be appreciated.
