An initial report of a vehicle running into a golf cart turned out to be a suspected drunk driver on the course at San Juan Oaks Golf Club in Hollister on Thursday afternoon.
“Apparently, it’s just someone drunk driving on the golf course and (they) crashed their vehicle,” said Kenny Melin, a Hollister Fire Department captain.
A Calstar flight was canceled, he said. The vehicle hit a pond near the seventh hole, the captain said.
“So far, no patients,” Melin said over his radio.
