Forgiving Paws awarded $500 checks to three organizations, including Pet Friends in Hollister.

Forgiving Paws Thrift Store in Hollister opened its doors in March 2015 with the goal of raising funds for local animal rescues including Peace of Mind Dog Rescue in Pacific Grove, Central Coast Pug Rescue in Santa Cruz, Pet Friends in Hollister and the Hollister Animal Shelter.
On May 21, Forgiving Paws delivered the first round of donation checks to Carie Broecker from Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, Sally Crisman from Pet Friends and Eileen Sulivan from Central Coast Pug Rescue—with $500 going to each group, according to Kathleen Smith, the organization’s vice president and cashier.
The Thrift Store, located at 195 Meridian St. B-18 in Hollister, accepts gently used items as donations and is managed completely by a staff of volunteers.
According to the group, revenue will help to raise funds to support the life-saving work of animal shelters and rescues. Forgiving Paws, Inc. is also working towards a no cost spay/neuter program.
