Watch where you hit the ball. Don’t just hit it, get mad and walk away then try to find your ball later.

Watch the other players hit their shots. If the sun is in their eyes or if their eyesight isn’t very good, try to follow their shots, as well. You’ll spend a lot less time driving in circles looking for the ball.

The first one to reach the green could start looking for ball marks to fix while the others are approching the green. That saves time and wear and tear on the green.

The farthest from the green doesn’t have to be the next one to hit. If it is safe to hit and you are ready before anyone else, hit it. When on the green, putt it out unless putting might find you standing in someone else’s line.

If you are the first to finish putting, pick up the flag stick and be prepared to put it in the cup when the last person has putted out.

When you have finished putting out, move on to the next tee. Don’t stand around chatting about what everybody had on the hole. The people behind you trying to hit into the green won’t be happy with you.

Simple things make the round for everyone much more enjoyable. You don’t have to feel rushed, but neither do you have to make a whole day of it. A lot of people don’t play golf anymore because it takes too much time out of the day.
