The 11-year-old All-Star game Tuesday in Hollister between Hollister and Lincoln Glen is under protest, and a ruling is expected today.

Hollister was on the verge of 10-running Lincoln Glen after scoring seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Hollister was up nine runs with the bases loaded and manager Mitch Burley’s son Matt up at bat. But trouble arose because he hadn’t played in the field yet as league rules state.

The Lincoln Glen pitcher threw pitches to let the run score and not give him the chance to get in the field.

As a result, Burley protested the game and expects to find out today if Lincoln Glen will be given the win and be named the tournament champions or if they will finish the game then play the final game with each team having a loss.
