Here are some things to do in San Benito County this weekend.

1.) Choir sings ‘Bon Voyage’ before trip to Olympics: The Monterey Peninsula Choral Society will present a “Bon Voyage” concert, Spirit & Song: An Olympic Journey, at St. Benedict Church, 1200 Fairview Road, Hollister, July 13 at 8 p.m. Admission is free although a donation of $20 would be appreciated. The program will include songs the group will be singing at various venues as part of the Summer London Olympics. Details: http://thempcs.org/

2.) Open Mic Night: An Open Mic Night is scheduled at Blak Sage Gallery, July 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Residents are invited to share poetry, prose, music and song in any language or style. Details: Call Joe Navarro at 634-0263.

3.) ‘Big River’ continues run: San Benito Stage’s Company’s “Big River – The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” continues July 13, 14, 20, 12, 27 and 28 at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee July 22, at 2 p.m., at the Granada Theater, 336 Fifth St., in Hollister.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $13 for students or seniors. Group four-packs of tickets are available through advanced purchase at $42. Tickets can be purchased at San Benito Bene, 831-638-1188, Postal Graphics, at 831-636-3787 or from the San Benito Stage Company, 831-636-0122.

4.) See local artists at Mars Hill: Members of the Hollister Art League have pieces up as part of the Spring Art Show at Mars Hill Coffeehouse through the end of July. Local artists have a mixed of media on display including paintings in oils and watercolors, linocuts, mixed media and photography. Details: 638-0277 or 637-6062.

5.) Hike the Anza Trail: Ranger-led hikes will be held along the Anza Trail along the Old Stage Coach Road portion of the trail in San Juan Bautista. The hikes will begin at 8 a.m. at the trailhead, on July 13 and 21. The program is a partnership between the National Parks Service, Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, and the California State Parks, San Juan Bautista Historic Park.
