1. SBHS’s ‘High School Musical’
San Benito High School’s drama department will perform Disney’s “High School Musical,” March 30 and 31, at 7 p.m., in the school’s auditorium. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the SBHS student payment center. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens or $6 for SBHS students with an ASB card and children under 5. All tickets purchased at the door will be $8.
2. Hollister Art League exhibit
The Hollister Art League as an exhibit up at Mars Hill Coffee House. It includes paintings by Pat Zuniga and Sylvia Nichols. Zuinga’s pieces include images of the California missions and gardens. Nichols will show a series of churches done with linocuts and watercolors. The show runs through April.
3. Cowboy Heritage Art
“Cowboy Heritage Art” at Southwest Roundup Studio Gallery, 106 Third St., San Juan Bautista. New show and sale runs March 31 and includes originals, fine art giclees and vintage prints. Thursdays – Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Details: 623-1128.
4. ‘Trail of Tears’ exhibit
Galeria Tonantzin will exhibit photographs from the “Trail of Tears” alongside organic sculptures of the photographs. Sales of photographs will be donated by the artist to benefit the ARETE Fund, an educational nonprofit. A reception will be held March 10 featuring poet Ryland Kelley, artist Dianne de Laet, and Native American music. The exhibit will be on display March 2 through April 15. Details: 623-2783.
5. Preview exhibition
The Blak Sage Gallery will host a preview exhibition of Open Studio artists’ work and the work of four up and coming emerging artists March 31 through April 26. A preview reception will be held April 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the gallery and will feature the Charming Chairs Silent Auction, wine from local vintners, music and a chance to win prizes.
