Overturned truck

A semi truck heading north on U.S. 101 overturned around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning while making the turn onto the Highway 25 on-ramp in front of the Garlic Shoppe just south of Gilroy.
The driver injured his left hand and said one of his fingers may have been broken as he tried to brace himself when the truck flipped onto its side on the road that was slick from a light rain. Although shaken up, he was able to walk away with just a bandaged hand. He declined emergency assistance at the scene.
Traffic on Highway 25 backed up as crews arrived to tow the truck, but the traffic on U.S. 101 continued to flow as usual without any major delays.
