Velasquez, wrestling with the Hollister Razorback Wrestling Club, either pinned or recorded technical falls against everyone he faced in the 171-pound category. His closest match was the semifinal he won 11-3.

Razorback Wrestling also had one first-place wrestler and three grapplers who placed third in the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association Championship on April 24.

David San Miguel won in his age group. He had an 11-3 victory over his opponent from Clovis and then pinned his next opponent in 24 seconds.

Kenny Salcedo, Justin Rainy and Mike Soto placed third with 1-2 records.

On Saturday, Razorback Wrestling will be at the FILA Freestyle State Championships in San Jose.
