Riun Ashlie, of Canada, enjoys the free wi-fi and some coffee at Vertigo Cafe in San Juan Bautista.

Looking for an occasion to celebrate October’s full moon? Then head out to Vertigo Coffee at 81 Fourth Street in San Juan Bautista this Friday for the Hunter’s Moon Pop Up Art Show.

The free, all-ages event isn’t a traditional art show, but more like a maker’s market. Local artists will set up tables and booths to display arts and crafts like embroidery, photography and more.

While this is the first year Vertigo Coffee has held a fall art show, it’s the third show they’ve hosted this year. Seasonal shows have taken place earlier this year in April and July, respectively.

The event starts at 3 p.m. and ends around 8 p.m. A DJ will conjure musical magic with vinyl records.

Feel free to come in costume, as the event will feature a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for best costume in various categories.

The coffee bar will serve seasonal drinks, as well as special seasonal craft beer from local breweries like Hollister’s Brewery 25.

Staff recommends attendees bring cash in case the art vendors don’t accept credit/debit cards.
