As part of the 14th annual San Benito County Veterans Day ceremony and parade in downtown Hollister on Nov. 11, more banners will be going up with the names of local veterans presently serving on active duty. Their names are: Michael Canning, Marc Martin Del Campo, Miguel Martin Del Campo, Yesenia Robles, and Anthony Perez.
If you have a family member now on active duty who has not had a banner put up, you can still do so until Jan. 1. Submit them to Bernie Ramirez, Post Commander of VFW 9242.
Also, there is a need for convertibles for the parade. If you can spare one for the day, contact Rick Bernard at 510-493-1559 or Bernie Ramirez at 831-902-7811.
As for other activities on Veterans Day, the Hollister VFW Post 9242 and American Legion Post 69 are hosting the 14th annual San Benito County Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade in downtown Hollister.
