San Benito knocked Christopher High from the ranks of the early season unbeatens, defeating the Cougars in three sets, 25-17, 25-10, 25-20, in Tri-County Athletic League Valley Division action Thursday night in Gilroy.

CHS (2-1 TCAL) struggled against the Balers’(2-1 TCAL) size up front, and uncharacteristic unforced errors set the Cougars back.

San Benito hosts Palma at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Balers also face Alisal High on Thursday.
