El Teatro Campesino announces the return of Luis Valdez’ acclaimed comedy “I Don’t Have to Show You No Stinking Badges” after a 12-year abscence.
Previews for “Badges” run from July 10 to July 18.
The production officially opens on July 19 at 8 p.m. through Aug. 31.
Performances will be on Thursdays through Saturday at 8 p.m. with matinees on Saturdays at 2 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Ticket prices for July 19th Opening Night Gala are $50, including a reception, the performance and a post show toast with the cast.
Regular tickets are $20 adults, $16 students/seniors and $12 children Thursdays, Fridays and all matinees.
Saturday tickets are $22 adults, $18 students/seniors and $12 for children under 12. For tickets or details, call 831-623-2444.
“Badges” was first developed and by the Los Angeles Theatre Center in 1986, “Badges” is a human comedy about the trials, tribulations and expectations of a Mexican-American middle class family living in Monterey Park of East Los Angeles.
With careers as extras in Hollywood, Buddy and Connie Villa are Latino actors, dub themselves the “Silent Bit king and queen of Hollywood.”
