The inaugural Wine & Beer Stroll hits downtown Hollister on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Hollister Downtown Association, is the first of its kind in the city.
Downtown businesses are paired with local wineries, where locals will be allowed to sample wine and beer.
Kris Waller, the coordinator of the event for the HDA, said more than 20 local businesses and three restaurants are participating in this year’s event.
“We encourage everyone to come!” she said.
She said because it’s the first year the event is being put on, they wanted to keep ticket prices low – a cost of $25 pre-event and $35 at the door.
Tickets are available at the HDA office, at 455 San Benito St., suite 21.
Waller expects that the event will continue for some time to come, and she hopes to move up the timing of the event to May next year, which would be the best time for the wineries to participate before harvest.
