More than 100 “undead” characters took over Hollister’s pub scene on Saturday, Oct. 27 during the second annual Zombie Crawl through eight downtown businesses.

Promoted by ARTI-Culture, a community-based art studio in Hollister, The Zombie Apocalypse featured food, raffles, drink specials and a cash prize costume contest for the deadliest zombie of all.

ARTI-Culture business partner Rolan Resendiz said the fall event helped to fund the studio’s free children’s art program, bringing in about $1,000.

“We want to promote local businesses and great causes—and honestly just have a great time,” said Resendiz.
