Two of the suspects in a car-jacking that occurred early Monday morning have been apprehended by police.

Jorge Diaz Renteria, 27, of Hollister was arrested Tuesday afternoon by police officers at the San Benito County Courthouse, said Hollister Police Capt. Bob Brooks.

“He was at the court house appearing in other matters,” Brooks said. “Officers recognized him as being the suspect and called over other on-duty officers and arrested him.”

Renteria was arrested on car-jacking, conspiracy, committing a felony while out on bail and violation of probation, Brooks said.

The third suspect has not been located yet.

“We’re not sure if we have an ID on the third guy,” Brooks said.

Renteria is being held at the San Benito County Jail in lieu of $210,000 bail.

The semi-automatic handgun used in the car-jacking has not been recovered, Brooks said.
