In lieu of an open seat on the Gavilan College Board of Trustees following the death of late trustee Mike Davenport, Gavilan is now soliciting nominations to fill the vacancy.
Applications can be downloaded by clicking here, or picked up from the President’s office on campus at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. Applications should be submitted by 10 a.m. April 13.
Candidate interviews and a provisional appointment of a new trustee will begin at the next Board of Education meeting on April 18 at Gavilan. The appointee will fill the position until the next regular election of the Board of Trustees in November 2012.
Eligible candidates for the seat must reside and be registered to vote in Morgan Hill or San Jose south of Bernal Road. Please contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters to verify whether you reside and are registered to vote in this area. Applicants must be available for an interview on April 18, 2012.
