Jeronimo Gonzalez, also known to nieces and nephews as “Momo”, passed away on December 29, 2010.
He was born in Miguel Azul, Zacatecas, Mexico on September 30, 1947, to his parents Ignacio and Bartola Gonzalez. Jeronimo migrated to California in 1970 and made a home in Morgan Hill, where he lived the rest of his adult life, with his wife and two children.
He worked hard to support his family until he was diagnosed with a progressive illness. He loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with loved ones. Family and friends will always remember him for having a passion for animals, especially horses and roosters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Matuk Gonzalez, son Alfred Gonzalez(Dianna Em), daughter Zalina Gonzalez(Alex Bass) and beloved grandchildren Jeremy Urdiales and Lola Em Gonzalez. He is also survived by brothers Ricardo Gonzlez and Jose Matilde Gonzalez, sisters Juana Canales, Isaura Torres, Francisca Gonzalez, and Edelmira Murillo.
He is preceded in death by brother Gerardo Gonzalez and sister Margarita Mijares. He also has many nieces and nephews who love him dearly.
A viewing will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2011, from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home, the vigil service will take place at St. Catherine Catholic Church at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011, at 12:00 P.M. at St. Catherine Cathiolic Church, 17400 Peak Ave., Morgan Hill. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park.
